Get a better cleaner.

Move the weight on the hose closest to the cleaner ... well, closer to the cleaner. Also try putting the leaf canister between the 2nd and 3rd hose from the wall fitting. And consider attaching half a pool noodle to the hose in a couple locations.

By any chance, when you remove the cleaner and hose from the pool, do you coil the hose? If so, stop doing that as it sets a curve into the hose. Lay the hose out flat and straight.

I'm kind of in love after seeing the video, but spending close to a thousand dollars on a vacuum vs. untangling the hose every now and then? This may get added to the list, but not the top of the list.
