How to fix leak in inground Gunite pool?

I did the bucket test and my pool has a leak.

My pool has fiberglass lining on Gunite. I see a crack as shown in the pic which might be the cause of the leak.

1. Is there any temporary solution like duct tape I can put on it to confirm that is the cause?
2. If the crack is the cause, what is long term/proper solution?

Marine (boat) fiberglass repair kit like this. Messy and the instructions need to be followed exactly. Only done it a couple of times, but it worked:
