How to add a physical button for Pentair easytouch relay?

I would like to add a physical button or switch for my waterfall pump. It runs off of an aux circuit and is angaged through the ScreenLogic phone app. Would be nice to have a button near the pool anyone could hit to run it on.

Does anyone know how to add a switch like this to toggle a relay on?

I am not looking to buy a full pentair remote for hundreds of dollars, but would be interested if it’s a simple hard wired button that can do the trick.

Any help is appreciated. Thank you TFP community.

If it is run from an Aux relay, then just use the Aux button for that relay..

If the waterfall is controlled by a separate pump, then it would be an Aux relay.

If the waterfall is controlled by a valve, then it may or may not be an Aux circuit.

If controlled by a valve, then I suspect it is not an Aux circuit, but rather a Feature Circuit, which has no relays or buttons.

You could hack the iS4 inputs and add your own button..

Let me know how your waterfall actually works.

It’s an aux relay that powers a separate pump. No valve. I would like for a button to be out by the pool for guests or my kids and not require them to open the panel or use an app.

Hard to lose a hardwired button panel that is installed someplace.

The Pentair IS4 is $75 per button.

You can build your own button following this diagram…

You don't have to use the Pentair remote, you can use a momentary relay remote, something like this..


Wire the remote into the iS4 connector..

Keep in mind that the buttons on the iS4 are momentary.. You push the button and the contracts close, and when you release the button, they open..
