How much flex does your cover lid have.

We are installing a Aquamatic auto cover and the flex on the lid worries me a little. Does anyone has one, have any issues walking on it?

The vault lids may may be made from different materials. I found a quote which says

This lid can be a standard aluminum lid, a metal walk on lid, or a tray walk on lid (also known as continuous coping).

I'm not certain, but I think I have the standard aluminum lid, because the previous homeowners who built the pool were a bit money-conscious. I can step on the lid, but try to avoid doing so. If you think you'll have a lot of lid walkers, you might want to upgrade to an explicit walk-on lid.

What company is installing it. We use coverstar and there are adjustable brackets that hold the lid up every couple of feet.
