I was talking with a friend today and the question was brought up, how do the remove the sand from larger filters?
The 500,600 even 900 pound sand filters often used at hotels etc, how do they dump the sand out if they need to change it or fix a lateral, or even replace the filter?

My 250 I just tipped it over, but I don't think you could do that with a 900? Especially if the sand is wet.

Crazy expensive now, mine cost less than $25.00. If you have a place to run the sand and a bunch of water this works great:

Once you get the majority out the tank can be tipped and the rest removed.
All you get is the plastic part. You supply a vacuum hose and water supply.
