I am a Pool owner and a Real Estate Broker in California, Hawaii and Nevada. My primary residence with the 10year old, 30,000 Gallon pool, is in the SF Bay Area. I have horrible Algae problems hat no one can ever seem to solve! I've had 4-5 pool maintenance companies quit because they cant figure it out CrAzY huh? I have a new (1yearold) Filter w/4 large cartridge's, a chlorinator & 3hp Variable speed pump. I clean the filters, baskets, brush it, twice a week, bring water to be tested at Leslies every week and every thing else possible do to maintain it. I STILL have bad green algae problems.(That my neighbors with pools dont experience) Its a nightmare. This is the last year I will try to maintain it, if not, I need to call it a $80K mistake and fill it full of dirt. Pool contractors have no idea either after pressure, leak, xray and every other test you can imagine.
Horrible Algae problems year after year ! I Need superman, man !
