I am have to add around a cup of muriatric acid every other day to keep my pH down to the 7.4-7.6 range. We do have a high swimmer load so is this normal??
Just to add, there's usually no need to try to keep the pH in that range. Anything in the 7s is fine. The higher it is the slower it will move. So you might find it is more stable at 7.8

Plug your numbers into poolmath, get your dose, and then scroll to the bottom where it has Effects of Adding Chemicals. Plug the acid dose in and it'll tell you how much the TA will drop. One caution: the pH Effect will be wrong. It's only right within a very narrow set of parameters, so it's best to ignore that part.
Yes adding pool acid will drop your TA over time. Test your tap water for TA as you may be adding TA each time you top off your pool. Don't focus too much on a "good" TA number once it settles in between 80-120 you will find your pH will stabilize.
