I have been getting high CYA for a few months on my pool water testing. My current CYA is at around 111 ppm but all other chemicals are within the correct ranges.
I think I found the cuprit about 1 month ago (chlorine tabs) and switched to adding liquid chlorine instead but the CYA level is still not going down.
After doing some research online, I am leaning towards adding water via hose to the bottom of the pool and have water flow out the top by my auto leveler.
If I do about 1 hour daily, I think eventually the CYA level might go down to the proper level while I just adjust the others.
Does this sound like a good approach and if not could anyone recommend a better solution to my situation?
As an alternative (and easier solution) I was also thinking to maybe just ride through the winter with liquid chlorine and see how that goes.
Any thoughts are appreciated!
Regards,
Rich
