Hi everyone. I want to share our blueprint specs before excavation starts in two weeks. Anything you experienced pool owners would do different as far as equipment selection? We choose to go with chlorine due to several factors tho I know salt pools has it's benefits.

Do not install a Jandy Fusion. You should not use the minerals (copper, silver) as they will stain the pool surface. For trichlor, when needed, use a floater.
Liquid chlorine adding is great. Just be aware you do it DAILY during swim season.

Insist on two skimmers, not one.

Skimmers need to be placed into the prevailing wings.

Get a P6 or P8 Aqualink, not a P4, for future needs since the Aqualink is not modular.

What specific model pump?

Why an Aquacomfort and not a Jandy heater?

3.5' is a bit shallow. I'd suggest 4' for your shallow end.

Definitely get two skimmers. Main drain is optional. Consider upsizing the suction pipes to 2.5".

Make sure all the lights are pointed away from the house or main seating area.

I'd strongly recommend getting a robot instead of a pressure side cleaner.

Install an external bypass on the heater.

A SWCG pool is a chlorine pool. You generate the chlorine fresh onsite. The savings of money, time, and effort and fantastic. Can you share why you wouldn't want a SWCG?

Our pump model is Jandy VS PlusHP 2.7 HP, Dual Voltage 2 Aux Relay VS Pump

Thanks for the catch on the heater. Not sure why they listed Aqua comfort when they quoted Jandy JXi Heater! 😡
Would the aqualink be an addition? I don't see that in the specs.

What does the external bypass on the heater do? Sorry new at this. Thanks I thought I was getting the robot. Any reasons why the lights are an issue if facing the house or seating area? Are they to bright?

Is the Jandy fusion used only for chlorine pools?
That Jandy device has a 'mineral' pack and 'chlorine' pack. The mineral is copper and silver, the chlorine is trichlor. If you have a heater, you do not want to use it. Use a floater for adding trichlor.
Better to get a SaltWater Chlorine Generator

What does the external bypass on the heater do?
Improves the efficiency of your system when you're not using the heater. Gives you the ability to remove the heater and still allows your system to work.

I thought I was getting the robot.
Polaris 280 is a pressure cleaner.

You don't want the lights glaring in your eyes. Have them all facing away from the house or main seating area. Jandy has a good guide:

So we decided to go with SWCG instead. Thank you all for the pro tips. What a great site this is!
