Hi everyone. I want to share our blueprint specs before excavation starts in two weeks. Anything you experienced pool owners would do different as far as equipment selection? We choose to go with chlorine due to several factors tho I know salt pools has it's benefits.
Here are the general specs of our future pool.

Do not install a Jandy Fusion. You should not use the minerals (copper, silver) as they will stain the pool surface. For trichlor, when needed, use a floater.
Liquid chlorine adding is great. Just be aware you do it DAILY during swim season.

Insist on two skimmers, not one.
Skimmers need to be placed into the prevailing wings.
Get a P6 or P8 Aqualink, not a P4, for future needs since the Aqualink is not modular.

3.5' is a bit shallow. I'd suggest 4' for your shallow end.
Definitely get two skimmers. Main drain is optional. Consider upsizing the suction pipes to 2.5".
Make sure all the lights are pointed away from the house or main seating area.
I'd strongly recommend getting a robot instead of a pressure side cleaner.
Install an external bypass on the heater.

Thanks for the catch on the heater. Not sure why they listed Aqua comfort when they quoted Jandy JXi Heater!
Would the aqualink be an addition? I don't see that in the specs.

That Jandy device has a 'mineral' pack and 'chlorine' pack. The mineral is copper and silver, the chlorine is trichlor. If you have a heater, you do not want to use it. Use a floater for adding trichlor.

Improves the efficiency of your system when you're not using the heater. Gives you the ability to remove the heater and still allows your system to work.

Polaris 280 is a pressure cleaner.
You don't want the lights glaring in your eyes. Have them all facing away from the house or main seating area. Jandy has a good guide:

You'll be glad you went with the SWCG! And you may want to consider 4-6' for depth.... Looks like it'll be super nice when done.
