Help with Polaris 9550 Sport: ERROR 10 SOLVED!

Hello,
I have a not even 2 year old 9550 sport that recently started giving me Error 10 codes after leaving it in the pool for over 2 weeks. I try to take it out when it's not in use to prevent issues, but alas, here we are. I read online that it's an issue between the control unit and the cleaner. Checked the connection at the control unit, all looks good, so decided to take apart the cleaner. Found water in the connection point. The screws were tight, so not sure how water got in there. I opened up the motor compartment and it's bone dry. No signs of moisture. How would you suggest cleaning these connection points? Thanks in advance.

Or is there a way to completely replace the pins in the first pic below? looks like the corrosion goes all the way to the actual cable.

So after trying to replace and clean contacts, making my own makeshift cable and a few other things, I was sure the motorblock was fried and was ready to just throw it all in the garbage and order a 3rd cleaner. Then I read an old thread with a guy who had the exact same symptoms and fixed it by just ordering a new cable. Ordered a new cable, started right up. Tried the cable on my old 9450 that I was keeping around just for parts, boom, fired right up as well!

So after fixing the unit by just replacing the cable, i looked further into the cable that went bad. Cutting new ends on both sides, nothing. Decided to cut back past the swivel mechanism and boom, cable suddenly works. Issue was at the swivel.

Does anyone know how to disassemble the swivel? I'm scared to just yank on it or pry it open.

Update!
Got it open with some channel lock pliers. You can see the contact point is worn all the way through. The more narrow end opens by sticking a screwdriver in one of the slots on the contact board, then turning the other end. You can see all the buildup and corrosion on the side where the cables connect to the curcuit board. Not even going to attempt to fix the swivel. I'll just use it without. To be honest, the Dang cable was always twisted up anyway. Hope this helps someone out there.

Well that does tell the story! Sad the swivel caused all of that mess AND the cord still twisted up. Good job fixing it and THANKS for writing it up!!

For anyone else reading this thread, this video shows another thing to try that allowed me to fix my 9550 error 10 problem in just a few minutes. My fix was the loose wire he talks about that starts about 2 minutes into the video. Big money saver for me!

Back from the dead after 3 years, on her maiden voyage. One full 3:30 cycle complete, no issues. The kicker is, this cord, which I amputated the swivel from, was less tangled than my new cord with the swivel after a cleaning cycle.

I'm sorry I do not. I just used some channel lock pliers to get the swivel open, then kinda found my way around how to disassemble the whole thing.

I had this issue it turned out to be the motor block. very un happy with polaris.
