Help please!

Welcome to TFP and the best forum for sorting out issues and getting great ideas to make pool ownership simple and easy.

The first thing you will need is to buy a test kit. See this link Test Kits Compared and you can purchase at tftestkits.net
Please also purchase some liquid chlorine from a local store as you will need that to clear up your green pool. Then your SWCG can work to maintain it.

Others will chime in but this will get you started.

Welcome to TFP! You’ve come to the right place. These people are awesome and incredibly helpful. They’ll get you sorted.

While waiting for the experts, recommend gathering info on your equipment and add to your signature (see our signatures where pool type, size, pump, filter, etc are displayed). There’s helpful instructions on this in Pool School (I’m bad with links)

Welcome to the forum!
As the others have said, you have come to the right place.
Start adding 5 ppm FC worth of liquid chlorine each day to the pool in the evening with the pump on. When you get your test kit, let us know and then you follow the SLAM Process.
We use PoolMath to determine amounts of chemicals needed to add to the pool water based on testing. Once you fill out your signature, we will know the volume of your pool and other specifics and can help you in learning to use Poolmath.
I suggest you read ABC's of Pool Water Chemistry.
