Hi friends, I’m ready to buy myself a robot. I’d like to purchase from Amazon since I can buy the extended warranty and shipping and repairs are covered. I have a 15k gallon in ground plaster pool that is roughly 30 ft x15 feet. There are 3 shelves and there are also 3 steps. My needs are that it must be able to effectively climb the walls and brush/vacuum without getting stuck all the time. I’d like to be able to program it to some extent - must be easy to use. I expect it to last 4-5 years.
In my Amazon search the following seem like options (in no particular order):
1. DOLPHIN Nautilus CC Automatic Robotic Pool Cleaner - Ideal for Above and In-Ground Swimming Pools up to 33 Feet - with Large Capacity Top Load Filter Basket… https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01N78IVWJ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_YSEXRK4BCQ2FZ6SFZXEN

2. (Not sure what is different about this one than #1 aside from the 50 ft) Dolphin Nautilus CC Plus Robotic Pool [Vacuum] Cleaner - Ideal for In Ground Swimming Pools up to 50 Feet - Powerful Suction to Pick up Small Debris - Easy to Clean Top Load Filter Cartridges https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00Q8M0NWE/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_FZ7WGME33CYG9BA11QA4

3. (They also have a Dx4 but again only difference I see is 50 feet) DOLPHIN Proteus DX3 Automatic Robotic Pool Cleaner, The Quick and Easy Way to a Clean Pool, Ideal for In - ground Swimming Pools up to 33 Feet https://www.amazon.com/dp/B083YZG3LV/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_15BBBXQW33RD29BKSCDF?psc=1

4. Dolphin E10 Robotic Pool [Vacuum] Cleaner - Ideal for Above Ground Swimming Pools up to 30 Feet - Powerful Suction to Pick up Small Debris - Easy to Clean Top Load Filter Basket https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01BUE8XVC/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_TXCGS8ST9X05GQQ71PWQ

Should I aim for more than 30 feet since my pool is 30 feet or is it fine to trust a 30 foot range? Which of the above might be appropriate for my pool?

Would be grateful for your input!

I would call Marina Pool Spa in Denver and discuss with Margaret. Then buy one through them.
The S200 or equivalent is all you need.

My hesitation with marina despite the great reviews is the shipping (I believe someone said $60) that I’d have to pay each time something bites the dust. Also the additional warranty from Amazon starts after the regular warranty of the item is over so I think it may be worth it. I’ll look into it more before finalizing.
Here’s the warranty that can be added on:

The only option on your list with two brushes is the nautilus cc plus.
None of these clean the waterline (move horizontally) they only go up & come back down.
The proteus dx3 & nautilus cc have automation mode.
The proteus dx4 offers all of these things.
Automation mode, waterline scrubbing, & has 2 brushes.
Go to Dolphin Automatic Pool Robot Cleaners : Go Robotic with Maytronics
& type each model you are considering in the search bar then view their actual specifications to make an informed decision.

Not sure about your pool from your sig but if you have an inground pool with a tile line and want the tile cleaning feature then look for a unit that has the side vents that make this possible. Also note the filter differences of your choices. Picking the right bot from all the confusing brands and models is not easy and the availability is now at an all time low. Marty's suggestion re Marinas is sound, you may try to save a little $ but expect a few surprises along the way and learning the hard way is expensive.

--EDIT-- Disregard the following, I just measured my cord and it is 50'.

The 30' cord should cover your pool but do consider how close your receptacle and power source is to your pool edge. My power is 6' from the pool and the 30' cord is perfect for my pool at 32x17.

The tile line is important. Power is about 6 foot away from pool so no problem there. Which vacuum would you all recommend? Even if not on my list above.

Then sounds like this is the front runner over the Dx3 since that one can’t do the tile line. I usually help my current suction vacuum a zodiac mx6 (which is plugged into skimmer) by manually brushing the tile line and walls and would like a robot that can do my job. I’m really tired of hearing it sucking in air every time it goes to the tile line.

Would like to hear from anyone who has Dx4 or something similar.

Thank you. Yes I saw they ship the robot for free. I meant the shipping afterward for once it breaks and needs repairs.
I called and left a message for Margaret at Marina to further discuss as well. Hopefully she’ll reach out soon.

Note my cord is 50' not 30', I just measured to be certain.
Appreciate you double checking. Would you mind sharing the dimensions of your pool? Is a longer cord problematic? Which robot do you have?
I thought this purchase would be a quick one since I feel I’ve read so much on here yet here I am! 🙂

My pool is 32x17 and I purchased the s200 rebranded from Doheney's several years ago now. I also added the mesh basket that fits inside the pleated filters and run them together each run.

Does the s200 clean the waterline tile? Is it easy to set up and make changes to for scheduling? and what do you like/not like about it? 🙂 If your s200 bit the dust would you try something else or get the same one again?

Just read some DX4 reviews and some reviews for the others. Seems there’s varying opinions on all. Whelp that does not help!

Yes the s200 (several years ago was branded Doheney Discovery for $700+) does the tile line. Scheduling is limited to multiple days per week only but is not a feature I utilize, as I pull out, clean and store my bot after each use. Also no options on run time, if you want it cleaner than the 2 hour run then you must press the start button again despite the huge inconvience...... No remote driving by wifi, no caddy, 50 cord on mine and came with 4 fine filters and 4 mesh. I bought the mesh basket from Marina. Would buy again now at higher price with devalued $.

The dx4 is basically an S200 in different clothing.
There are several equivalents.
Its like mattress shopping. All the same just different names.
Decide which features are important to you & then look for those features.
To help narrow things down go here👇
Select filter at the bottom of the screen then select the features that are important to you.

This is also helpful to get an understanding of the maytronics way- although somewhat outdated since they have released several more robots with new names/features since this was written

I've read that many folks have had success getting through at 10 AM Colorodo time when they open.

Seth is great too from all the reports if you get him instead.

Wow @Mdragger88 I wonder if refurbished is the way to go. They are 200-300 cheaper. Hmmm. I did find their filter of “waterline/wall/ floor” helpful. Much easier than clicking through 75 variations
