To preface my post, my pool wasn't covered over the winter and there are a ton of leaves in the bottom (or at least I think there are, I can't see it). I know, poor maintenance on my part but life happened and it is what it is. We have a 24' round pool about 4' deep throughout with a sand filter.

I've used a leaf scoop to get as much off the bottom as I can but since I can't see the bottom, who knows.

Water is so green. I've added about 20 gallons of regular bleach to the pool over the past few weeks with no effect.

Any thoughts? I can't empty the pool as we're on a well and could never refill it even if we ran it until next spring.

Thanks!

Welcome to the forum. First off, you're gonna need accurate testing data so we can help you. You'll nee a TF100 from www.tftestkits.net. Immerse yourself in Pool School until it arrives and especially the section on how to SLAM it properly. You could very well need 20 gallons over the course of one week instead of several. As you say, it didn't get that way over night and won't be fxed that fast either. But we can do it!
