Help connecting pool fountain to quick connect

Been trying to find a way to connect a Poolmaster waterfall/fountain to a quick connect port.
Bought a quick connector, but on the other side of the quick connector it is 1" female, while the waterfall/fountain is 1 1/4" male.

Been searching Home Depot, Lowes, etc., but can't find a 1 1/4" to 1" threaded adapter.
Maybe I'm looking for the wrong thing?

This is a UWF (Universal Wall Fitting) for Polaris pool cleaners. This is not what is shown in the fountain pic and not what you want for your fountain..

Is this the fountain you bought? What pieces came with it? Post a pic of what you have.

I think the idea is to modify the above fountain so that it utilizes the UWF so he can alternate between pool cleaner and fountain.
