It can't hurt to try here and maybe someone local to you needs one and can stop by to see it first.

No, he is just pointing out that you may get better luck focusing on a local marketplace vs a worldwide pool forum. I would also suggest adding a bit more context on the items including price, condition, why you are selling, etc.
+1. *especially* as a brand new member that nobody knows, with big ticket items.
Personally, I wouldn't risk my shipping costs if you gave it all to me for free. We'd love to get to know you, and we can teach you all sorts of stuff about the pool, but for now it's going to be a hard sell IMO.
