Hello from Oklahoma with what I assume is a tale as old as time...

Inherited an above ground pool when I purchased our home. We closed on the home in early April, storms ripped the cover off, the pump ran for about 3 minutes before giving up the ghost, literally every single ball valve in the plumbing no longer worked (this made changing the pump fun), and it turned into a swamp in pretty short order.

I don't know if I'm closer to getting it fixed or setting it all on fire 😅

Welcome LAJF !!!!! Most of us were in your shoes. Sure it may have been an Intex or a plaster pool, or a blown pump instead of valves, but we were there one way or another. We never forgot how bad it sucked, and stuck around to soften the fall for whoever else landed here.

Read up and ask away. We got you now. :)
