Hayward H200FD pool heater not working

Just opened up my 18x33 above ground pool. After everything was connected and the pump operating, I turned on the Hayward heater. It would turn on briefly with no gas ignition and cycle off and on a few times and shut off with the error code IF (ignition failure). I tried all the trouble...

Nice job dude! Mine gets spidery as well. I usually blow that puppy out with compressed air.

UPDATE
Finally had a tech out to take a look. It's a bad gas valve and ignition switch at the least. Quote was 800-1000 including labor. Probably going to go heater-less this year and look to replace the whole unit next year due to condition. I appreciate everyone's help

A thermal cover will help in the meantime if you use it at night.
