Hayward Super-Star-Clear C5000, how much DE?

I cleaned the filter, should be a Hayward Super-Star-Clear C5000, I am attaching a picture of it, there is no label other than the warning label but it does have 4 of this inside:

Now... I bought a bag of clorox DE from lowes, 24 lb. I was sure was going to be plenty.

However, after researching online my understanding is that the filter is 500 sqft, which means 50 lb of DE. Am I right? Seems a lot of it to me, so before doing something stupid, I thought I would ask...

Most cartridge style filters don't use DE. I'm not 100% sure but think that Haywards DEP series is their only line of 'hybrid' filters that use a cartridge & DE.

Do not use DE with this filter.

question about the filter, after I cleaned it, started the pump back up and let the air out of it, it works ok for a while but then it gets filled with air again. I am pretty sure it was not doing it before I drained part of the pool and filled it back up.

I would think that's not normal, correct?
