Welcome to TFP! An aftermarket repair (i.e. epoxy, JB Weld, etc) would be tempting and might hold (for a while), but it's a risk. Not something we would recommend, not only because of the potential pressure on the pressure side of the pump, but also if it ruptures while you are away, the system will go dry quickly and you'll burn out the motor. Certainly your choice, but I would recommend replacing the basket.
JB weld applied on both sides so the epoxy meets in the hole might hold up quite well. You tube tester "Project Farm" did tests on various epoxy kits and JB products did quite well.
