Hayward Filter issue?

I just found your group and am thrilled to see so much information. I have had this unground pool for 15 years.

My Hayward filter is about a year old. Upon opening the pool, the gauge has low pressure on all settings. System seems to filter fine with decent water movement.

But backwash, rinse and waste have very little water being moved. Sight glass level of water is about half filled with hardly any movement.

I have replaced the gauge with same result. Any ideas of what to check?

More information is needed about the equipment pad and pool. Fill in your signature otherwise the questions will be going back and forth trying to get you the correct help.

It is the original, 15 year old multiport valve (MPV)? If so, they do wear out and your spider gasket is possibly not seated anymore. You'd need a rebuild kit BEFORE you open it up to check.

Valve and sand filter are approx 1-2 years old. Worked fine last year.
