I cannot keep my pool from turning green please help. My kids want to swim and I can't get the pool clear

Also, how big is your pool in gallons? The best thing you can do while you are waiting for your test kit is to add 5ppm of chlorine PER DAY. Doing this will keep algae at bay...
I am far from an expert( there are many here to help) but 1 month ago I was exactly in your shoes of having absolutely no idea how to get my green pool clean. With the help of everyone here within 1 week of getting my test kit to measure my green pool is crystal clear. It can be frustrating but once you get it figured out its easy to keep up with
