After following SLAM protocols for 2.5 weeks and seeing little to no improvements. We decided this was likely a filter issue (this filter came with the house/pool when we bought It in July) as 1. The filter was very cheap from Amazon and 2. There was some sand on the bottom of our pool.
We decided to go with a Hayward cartridge filter and after 24 hours of that we finally for the very first time have a clear pool!
This experience has taught me a lot and on the bright side i am comfortable testing and balancing my own chemicals now. Looking forward to the rest of this pool season and an easier pool season next year!
