Getting water this week. When to add salt?

Pool liner and first fill of water scheduled to be completed this week. We have SWG as part of our system. Wondering if we should go ahead and add the salt to water this year or wait until next year and just manage with liquid chlorine until we close up. Any considerations here? Only expecting maybe 3-4 weeks of use this year before the weather will get too cold.

Ok to wait, I’d say. Whatever you do now will have to be topped up in Spring, so just as easy to wait and do it once.
