The tech that installed it has it set to run at 2550 rpm during the day so it is still doing that for now.

It is up to you, but the power usage at 2550 rpm I suspect is nearly 5 times as much as at 1200 rpm.

The 1200 rpm may be fine for the heater. Try it. My heater runs fine at 1500 rpm, as that is the rpm needed to close the flow switch on my IC40 SWCG.
Well I got the heater going and there is a gas leak. So glad the we had a home inspection
