I think by permanent she is referring to one like this...removable but with built-in sleeves.

Sheree, it's amazing how different that tile looks in daylight vs fluorescent store lighting! Very, very pretty! As to the deco tile placement, I think every 6 ft would look fine. IMOP, sometimes they are placed too often, taking away from the specialness of the tile.
I'm looking at basketball nets, too, but I doubt I'll have it soon enough to have them drill for the posts, so it will need to be an after build add on, for me. I'll be curious to see how you end up doing yours.
I like the rectangle backboard better than the half moon. So I would either go with the $132 one which I think looks pretty good or the SR smith (and I believe they make a version that can be installed after the deck was already done).
Sheree- you sound like me....an upgrade...well, I guess I can pick up some more shifts....I'll sleep eventually![]()
I have an SR Smith basketball hoop (made for a salt pool) and love it. It looks great.
We just put in the same thing. It's awesome and can be removed but not moved around. It's getting more action than our slide.![]()
We were really hesitant about dropping the $$$ on the S.R. Smith hoop but it ended up being worth every penny. It gets used every time someone is in the pool. And it's built like a tank.
