Does the shut-down happen right after a bunch of noise coming from the heater?
Bad thermal regulator, bad internal bypass, dirty filter (though that would usually throw a "Service System" light). Which of the LEDs (PS, HLS, AFS, AGS, SFS) on the other side of that board is lit, it will tell you what is happening.
