Why? The idea that you have to "turnover" you pool water is just a myth... Chlorine, at the appropriate level for your CYA, is what keeps your pool water crystal clear, the filter is just there to capture the stuff that falls into your pool and does not get picked up by the skimmer baskets. You only need to run your pump for the following reasons...
1. To keep surface debris moving and being pushed into the skimmers. The more debris the more often you need to run the pump.
2. If you have a Salt Water Chlorine Generator (SWCG) or a 3" tablet feeder, you'll need to run it long enough to generate the amount of chlorine needed.
3. To circulate the water to ensure the chlorine is effectively distributed throughout the pool. Two or three hours per day is all that is needed for this to happen in most pools.
That said, it is your pool and you can run it 24/7 if you want... you just don't have to worry about turnovers..
