Brush well too. I mean. Always, no matter what you add. But baking soda in particular can cause plaster stains. Bleach will bleach it and acid will....Put the pump on high and do some cannon balls to mix things up good!
That is cheap, well done!! Lucky you are not in NJ, your head would pop off if I told you how much that would cost here.Thank you. All in we're close to $180k. Only regret is not doing it 7 years ago when we were building our home, it would've cost us a whole lot less.
Remember also that we may not be exact on our pool volume so initially always add in 2 steps and test after the 1st test. Overtime you will get a feel as how close pool math app is to reality. But you are doing great so keep on testing and brushing (as much as you are able with your stomach flu)@HermanTX my TA is at 50 today and PH is still at 8.2. This is day 2 after fill. I have baking soda and I put 28000 gals as pool vol in pool math so I can figure out what to do. For my pool to be on target of 80 TA per NPC requirement for new plaster it's saying to add 12lbs of baking soda. Should we do this all at once or just add half that and see where it places us? I want to address TA first then PH. I have some pool chlorine for tomorrow or Saturday since we may have family over getting in with us. Pool maintenance crew won't be back until next week. What are your thoughts on next steps?
I would def. have the pool company check that out, there could be a leak, it should not drop that much in water volume overnight.Spa crisis averted, apparently this is normal behavior. Full and flowing now. Took me by surprise this morning when I went to brush. Although these past few days the water has been full and I usually do it around 7am every morning

What do you mean by normal behavior. It is not common to have your plaster exposed. Is there an issue with the spa draining back through the system.Spa crisis averted, apparently this is normal behavior. Full and flowing now. Took me by surprise this morning when I went to brush. It appears they had it set to drain into the pool. It filled back up about 20 mins after I saw that, did it again in the afternoon. I will ask them to not use that setting and keep the spa filled at all times. What do you mean by normal behavior. It is not common to have your plaster exposed. I am wondering if you may need a check valve on the spa return line to ensure no flow back through the system. Something for you to discuss with PB.It appears they had it set to drain into the pool. Yes, I sent them questions this morning. Owner and PB Super will be on-site today.I am wondering if you may need a check valve on the spa return line to ensure no flow back through the system. Something for you to discuss with PB.
I see a floater, you have SWG correct? Why the floater?Lots happening today. We decided to let our landscapers touch up our front yard today, so they are in full swing. The fence posts are going in. We met with a carpenter to extend our deck about 13ft and add steps, he will also repair our existing railing to make them safer and sturdier and we'll get it sealed and stained. Waiting on the quote for that. I'm honestly tired, but I know this is the home stretch for everythingView attachment 514879View attachment 514880View attachment 514881

Ahh, gotcha. Fiberglass here so I forget about that. How much does the CYA go up using floaters for that long?No salt allowed for first 30 days. So the options are liquid chlorine or pucks/floater.
