Frog got sucked in the skimmer

Say "here froggy froggy"? Sorry couldn't resist. If it didn't show up in the skimmer I guess you could try a short hand drain auger. But if it's stuck further in, I imagine he'll decompose over a few weeks with bits and pieces / bones showing up in the pump basket. I suppose a desperate person might temporarily re-plumb the skimmer line to the pump output, pump input from the main drain - and blast him out.

Lol don't worry I did try calling it 😂 oh man, I hope it comes out before it decompose. Would it still be safe to swim though?

Gotta send in the big guns to lure him out.

But seriously. Take a few photos of your plumbing from the skimmer back to the pad. We may be able to provide some ideas on how to extract the frog. You may need to use a Drain King to blow the frog out from the pump to the skimmer. You might check diverter valves by removing the covers and feeling around inside.

Without a signature, we have no idea what kind of pool you have.

Miss Piggy should work, LOL I have a little ornament that when you rub a stick on it it sounds like a frog? Well ..... If he's still in there, "safe to swim?" is a good question. It's discussed in at least 198 threads when you search TFP for dead animal. Many seem to focus on removal and then shocking. All point to testing and maintaining free chlorine & proper chemistry. Was it alive when it went down there? Keep checking skimmer to see if he came back up. Maybe turning off the skimmer for a short time to see if that helps with re-emergence. I might be tempted to konk another frog over the head and drop in a bucket of pool water to monitor decomposition time. I get tiny dead frogs all the time (and occasional gecko) - I remove them and pretend it didn't happen, while of course maintaining chemistry. For more humane and long term prevention, some folks use a frog log so they can climb out, eg this on amazon. I still like the idea of a hand-operated drain auger (with pump or skimmer off). Or if you cut the skimmer pipe someplace back by the equipment pad maybe one of those "can-o air" drain blasters would force him out. Or a large version of a drain king like this? Not sure how effective those are given the long pipe, and don't let it break off and slide down the pipe like one guy did.. Checking diverters and check valves good ideas too from @Rancho Cost-a-Lotta (love the handle rancho). Happy reading and good luck.

here the pictures of the skimmer where it went in and the pool pumps. I checked the skimmer and it losts its suction. I'm assuming its stuck there?
Drain King inserted into the pump suction plumbing all the way toward the pool. DO NOT leave any of the rubber bladder out of the opening or the device will burst the first time you use it.

Thanks for the response! I did purchase drain king and another declogger. Hopefully one of them
Works! I did turn off the pool yesyerday when it happened but Inhavent seen the frog still. I'm assuming its stuck near the skimmer since suction is completely gone now. There's still water coming in the pump basket so hopefully it ends up there

Sorry about teddy the toad, but glad issue is resolved, thanks for the update. I'm sure you gave him a nice memorial service. Peace
