The strips are garbage, don’t bother using them and get a better Taylor test kit.The pool is 18'x42' with 8' deep end and clorine isn't even showing up on test strips.
Not a good idea to just dump stuff in there, you can damage equipment and pool surfaces. That said, 4 gallons may not be terribly bad if your pool size is accurate. Do yourself a favor and get the Taylor test kit.I just dumped 4 gallons of shock in, fingers crossed

Not quite. Get the 2006 “C” mentioned above.
It’ll measure pH ok, but not much else.I noticed my installer left this. any good?
