Had the new inground 18x42 for few weeks now. First party this afternoon, eight year old birthday party. Will be 10 kids swimming. Should I just dump a bottle of this in afterwards to get this back to normal? thank you

So you do not know the volume or the water chemistry. We are hard pressed to provide guidance.

I suspect one gallon will not add more than 10 ppm FC. So that should be safe regardless of the CYA level.

You need a proper test kit. I suggest the TF-100 / TFPRO or Taylor K2006C. A proper test kit is needed to get the accurate water chemistry results needed to follow the TFP protocols.

I just dumped 4 gallons of shock in, fingers crossed
Not a good idea to just dump stuff in there, you can damage equipment and pool surfaces. That said, 4 gallons may not be terribly bad if your pool size is accurate. Do yourself a favor and get the Taylor test kit.
