OH that is SO pretty!!! I love that tile! Add that plaster and coping=AWESOME!!! BLING!!!!

So with that tile you need to think about what color of mortar you like for it. Get some paint cards-white, off white, light gray, medium gray. Put the tile on it where the pool will be going. Which one do you like the best? Then you get to pick out the grout color. They should have grout color sticks for you to use. White will make each tiles stand out. Gray will help them blend together. Both are very pretty! You cannot go wrong but I wanted you to know you have chooses to make the pool YOURS!

Well that is loaded question that has a few variables in it. Normally they may have up to 8 pools going at once. Most of their work is commercial. They do a few residential pools but they have to meet their criteria as in they are interviewing you as much as you are them. Right now here on the beach we are in a commercial building boom. Several new hotels and high rise condos going up. Add on to that there is a man power shortage thanks to Hurricane Michael. Every pool builder in the area is going through the same thing.

Right now anyone can pour a pool with no problem. The big problem is finding those who can plaster. those guys are like gold. Luckily our PB has some on his payroll so that isn't a real concern.

Currently they have four pools being built. Ours should begin late next week or early the following week.

Kim raises a good point and it looks like you've done your homework to assess the PB's capability and backlog. Very important for any construction project. Also beware of tactics used to make you believe you're just lucky he's agreed to work for you. You're a cash buyer which gives you a lot of leverage. You are still subject to supply and demand which can drive price higher' no matter what and market price is really a fair price for high quality work. But some builders try to get more, like unreasonable payment terms that require full payment before the pool is completed. Bottom line is that everything should pass the fairness test. Fair to builder and owner.

Sounds like they did not have much fun "playing with the big toy" as they could have with all of that sand :( I bet they were loving the food and drink though! At least you showed them you cared and hopefully they are doing as good of work as they can! Good job taking good care of them!
 
Do your best to be there during the shoot. You never know what idea or concerns they may have. Better YOU have it done how you want instead of them guessing what you might want. Have a cooler full of drinks-water and Gatorade out for them with some yummies if you really want to go the extra mile.
