Hi all, is it possible to get. Filter/pump that’s “too large” for your pool?
we have the Intex 15’x48” and are looking at the Intex filter/saltwater combo system. It says it’s for pools from 4800-15,000 gallons. Ours is officially about 4600 gallons. Would we need the size smaller? https://www.intexcorp.com/products/...saltwater-system-cg-26679-110-120v-with-gfci/

also, anyone have experience with the combo systems vs individual filter and SWG? Thinking the one system/ one outlet would be simpler?
Also, complete newbie, since it’s a seasonal pool that will be taken down every winter, where do you run your plugs? Do they need to be covered? Do the filters and pumps need to be covered and protected from rain?
Sorry so many questions. All thoughts and advice welcome please.

The Intex pump/filter/chlorine generator at that link will work. Larger filters and larger chlorine generators are better anyway.
Combo units are simpler.
Best practice is to have a dedicated electrical outlet near the pump to remove the need for electrical extension cords.
The filters and pumps are rated for outdoor use and don't need to be covered. I winter, they should be brought inside.
