Filter Crack

Was floating around the pool when I noticed the outside of our fence was shiny. Went over and saw that the filter is spraying water out the top. Thankfully it’s not a bad crack yet. Looks like it’s cracked along the seam of the sand filter up near the top. What are my options here. Bought new April 2019.

Thanks!
Mac

If your filter is below your pool. plug the lines in the pool (skimmer and returns) if it's above the pool, no need to plug. In the mean time running it in recirculate is the safest. I ran it almost a couple of weeks that way. was starting to get a little clouds toward the end, but just keep the chemicals in balance.

Getting all the wet sand out is the fun part. A large shapvac works well. Easier to put new sand in, but if you're reusing the sand, wash it out before putting it back in. Easier to do now when you have things apart.

I just replaced my 20+ year old filter because of the same issue.
