Filter button on board won’t start pump

We have a Hayward Salt system. In the fall the pump quit turning on. When you press “filter” on the display it normally starts the pump. Now it just clicks. When it initially went out the booster pump was still running. We had someone come out and test the electricity to the control panel. We tried a new pump and new display panel. None of these things helped. What other things can we troubleshoot. The display on the board still works and no error code. Needless to say our pool is a pond because the water hasn’t moved since Sept ☹️ Any advice would be appreciated.

Welcome to TFP.

You need someone who knows how to use a multimeter to do some diagnostics.

First you follow the voltage and test it at the various points from the circuit breaker to the relay LINE connections. Then see if you get voltage on the relay LOAD connections and to the pump.

You may have a bad relay in your panel.

If you get voltage at the pump then your panel is good and the problems are with the pump.

You say you tried a new pump. When you tried a new pump did you have voltage at the new pump electrical connections?

Who installed the new pump?

What model pumps are we discussing?
