Filter broke- advice until new one gets here?

Not sure if anyone has any tips..our filter broke yesterday. Should I just keep testing and adding chemicals per usual? I’ve been trying to stir the water around with the skimmer.

Just nervous we are going to start growing things:/

If you add 5ppm of liquid chlorine a day and stir it in your water should survive the repair.

What is your CYA?

Just curious, how did your filter break? Can you just replace a part on it?

Thank you! My numbers were right on today, FC 5.5 and CYA 40 I’ll take that advice and hope this replacement comes soon!

Not sure how it broke..it is year 4 of it so I’m not sure of the life expectancy? It just stopped working :/

Get a couple of cheap submersible pumps and run the discharge hose to different ends of the pool. Put one in the deep end and run the discharge to the shallow end and vice-versa. At least that will keep the water moving a bit and then add chlorine daily manually, at least 5ppm. Brush daily as well.

No mention of a robotic cleaner in the signature but if you happen to own one let it live in the pool and work along with the 5ppm chlorine.

I saw that. But there is still a pump, and a filter. Is the filter leaking or the pump not operating?
