Filling it up FINALLY!

Thanks for the pics! The pool is beautiful :goodjob:

Yeah very much so!
The inplace poured coping is so attractive to my eye's, I wish I had the skills to do something like that myself. I wonder how they can get that surface just by brushing it beacuse that is what they do if I understands it right. And the islands you have made as a path is very neat aswell.

Something else to laugh at....my gut!
:goodjob:

No offense taken about the flip flop tan....its kind of a badge of honor around here...LOL
20K covered everything except the fence and landscape stuff which will be done in the following week. I think 20K is a fair price around here. I dont think we got a smokin deal but we didnt get taken to the cleaners either.
The finish is called Pebbletec. I think its just basicaly concrete and different color pebbles.
Flip flops are part of our formal dress
Good price, we paid 21k for ours so I think that you got a good deal. Love your pool. I just put in some more landscaping. It is a process that never ends

Man I wish it was that cheap around here... I am looking at 45-50K for a 20X30 with spa. (included in that 20X30 dimension)
Just keep looking, 40-50K is way too much

Should I feel cheated when I to this date have paid 41106 USD just for the material to our pool. And I looking for another 8-10K before everything is done!
This is without freeform, spa, waterfall, fancy equipment suchs as intellflow pumps and everything else that is extra. And if this is not enough do I have to do all the work myself :hammer: :hammer:
20K for a pools like Shanes is a joke in my world. Congratulations to a very good deal Shane

Shane,
Glad no offense was taken at the flip flop comment. I understand the "badge of honor" thing for sure!

I really like the pool as well, especially the tile choice. Heat pumps aren't necessary down here; if you keep a solar cover on, it will almost always be warm enough. I have a heat pump that came with the house, but almost never use it.

Oh and Mats, my wife was looking over my shoulder and she's the one who actually noticed the flip flop tan...

SOmeone mentioned earlier in the thread to "cover the end of the hose" so it won't stain.. How would you "cover it" without reducing the flow?? I'm going to be doing our fill in about 2-3 weeks and just want to be ready. thanks
