I've read what most are saying about the SVRS pumps and I agre. Mine was working until yesterday, this morning. Nothing. I have stuck my hand to clean the pump to ensure nothing was in it.
Pictures below. (I believe the other warning about the "low flow" is just related to the pump being off.) the other cold water shut off is due to the cold-I think.
Questions.
1.) any hope in saving this just about 4 year old pump. Worth submitting to Warranty? (I might mention to them in those 4 years I have replace 2 of the lights and once again all 4 are out.) not crazy about the quality so far...the lights I think are over a thousand bucks a piece. No night swimming.. :)

2.) replacement suggested. Is the Pentair IntelliFlo3 a good option?

3.) installing. I can probably do the install and pipe fittings BUT will all the pool programming be difficult to enter?

As always thank you all in advance. And, hope you have a great new year.

S,

If that is really a IntelliFlo 3050, it is way older than 4 years old.

Look for the S/N label on the wet end (pump end) and show us the label.

This sounds like a drive issue, and not really related to the fact that it has the useless SVRS option, which usually does not give you an over current failure..

When my IntelliFlo VS pumps go bad, I will most likely replace them with the IntelliFlo3.. Will require some re-plumbing as the form factor is not the same as the standard IntelliFlo.

Thanks,

Jim R.

Thank you both so very much. Time is important as I live in Dallas and I think we are set for a freeze later this week. I have attached the sticker with the date. The pool was put in 4 years ago max. But I did find the label and Jim was right, as always, the pump has a 2017 date. Maybe they gave me an old Pump? Is it even worth contacting my pool company? I am sure they will say it was sitting on a shelf and I am sure they installed it new. But only 4 years? Do you think it would be worth the effort to put up a fight with Pentair or in your experience are they more likely to say, "so sorry."
