EasyTouch Nightime Cooling

Worked really great. The downside is if I turn on cooling during the day, it will heat despite the thermostat not calling for heat.

Lost about 8 degrees last night.

Pretty cool, and an easy mod.

Kind of takes the "automatic" out of your automation...

Sounds to me like you are just forcing water through the solar panels, whether the sensor is calling for "cool" or not. ???

Right. I could not get the ET to work correctly. When I engage nighttime cooling, it would start heating even when the set point is lower than current temp. Turn off nighttime cooling, and solar works correctly.

The only think i ink I didn't try is telling it I had a heat pump. Maybe that is the trick? Till then, I can cool on the nights I want it.

Would be be nicer to be temp controlled though, like we were talking about.

At least you Pentair people have some smarts built in Jandy still has no Smart Home integration

I think I have to reset it and reprogram.

and yes the automation is really nice!
