I've been adding CYA to my pool (based on Pool Math app) and things are coming up as expected. Since I was at 0 CYA, I've needed quite a bit of stabilizer. I used two long tube socks for the first several pounds and then ran across a post that made some sense. Today I've been using 1-gallon paint filter sacks in my skimmer baskets and just filled then with 1 pound of dry stabilizer. The socks took a day or two to dissolve ( was not out there every hour squeezing). These seem to go quite a bit quicker since the water is able to slightly swirl the dry stabilizer and help it dissolve. I'm sure this is addressed in another thread but I found it to be easier than trying to fill socks.
Cheers,
Tim
