Drain

Hello, I have a opening on the inside of my inground pool that when i unplug it, it drains water to the exact place it should be about an inch down from the top of the skimmer. Pics attached! After all rainfall my area has been experiencing, I have had to use it often. My question is, we are about to get hit with a tropical storm and are expecting heavy rain fall all day tomorrow, would it hurt to just leave it unplugged so the water drains or should I do it after the storm?

I have a similar overflow drain in my pool and it is open 24/7/365...

I can't see any reason not to leave it open..

You can use that if you like. Sounds like it will not let your level go to low.
