Does this sound like bad bearings?

I am trying to troubleshoot my pump that has been making a loud sound for the past month. I am not sure how to post an audio file so I uploaded it here:

Does this sound like bad bearings? The only symptoms I can share is this sound and the fact that the water is now not as clear as it used to be. No algae though and the chlorine level is fine.

Sorry you have not had an answer. My guess you mean "bearings" instead of barrels. If so let me know and I can change the title to get some more eyes on it.

If that sound is coming from you pump motor, yes, bearings need replacing asap.

Kind of hard to tell.. Most single speed pumps sound like that to me.. If the sound is new, then I would agree that replacing the bearings is the smart thing to do.

It has been going on for a over a month.

A pump motor with bad bearings, can run for months like that, it just keeps getting louder, but will eventually quit on you. Of course your neighbours will probably be complaining about the noise, long before it actually does quit.
