Does anyone have a Solar Saddle? If so how do you like it? Are there any other similar or good products out there?

yes, It can be a pain but it sure does keep the solar cover off the ground and if you fan it on them, makes sliding off them to cover the pool easier as well!

The ones I used came with plastic rods to hold the hooks onto the brackets underneath the rail...They are cheap and will break so i got rid of them and used thin bolts with wing nuts.

I use something similar that I made and really like it. It makes it easier to take off and put the cover back on.

Thanks for asking this question. Just ordered a Solar Saddle. We have a 30' round pool, just installed last week. Intended to purchase a reel for it, but have had trouble finding one that large. Given the price points of what we have found, we decided a Saddle will work just fine until next year.

I actually have a feherguard in my shed but I don't think it will be high enough for my kids to go underneath it hence why I am considering getting a solar saddle.

I thought the crank could come off of it and the reel can be pivoted away from the pool. Have thought about getting one of those myself... like the idea of the reel over the saddle.
