Recently purchased home with pool and this is sitting beside the pump. It’s not attached to anything ... does anyone know what it is? It’s purpose??

Looks like an old solar panel... You would need several of them to make any difference.

Yep. Old solar heater. Probably not too useful on its own, unless you're heating a kiddy-pool.
