Do I need to add more salt?

Hello!
We've had our pool about 4 months now and no prior experience. We have a salt water system. I haven't added salt since the pool company did the initial startup. Saline level is currently 2.9. they told me 2.7-3.5 is good so I didn't think I needed to add salt but suddenly my chlorine levels are almost zero. Chlorine production is set to 30%. Do I add more salt or up the chlorine %? Thanks!!

Welcome to the forum!
You need to give us more information on what the 2.9, etc means. Salinity is reported in PPM. Most SWCG's require 3000-4000 ppm salinity.
I suggest you read ABC's of Pool Water Chemistry.

It would help if we had a clue about what kind of system you have...

Most saltwater systems provide a warning of some kind when the salt level drops below a specific salinity level..

Does your control have some type of indicator??
