Diamond Quartz Vs. Diamond Brite

We are currently looking at finishes for our pool renovation.
Can someone tell me the difference between Diamond Brite and Diamond Quartz from an end users perspective?
Is Diamond Quartz and upgrade from Diamond Brite?

Just a bit different mix and look. Mostly marketing. No big functional difference.

Quartzscapes, Diamond Brite, or...?

Met with PB #3. He likes quartz finishes. He says the surface is like plaster. Is this true? I have heard it can be abrasive. Possibly installer dependent? What do the folks who have these finishes think?
