Hey all. Hopefully this is the right place to post this. Our pool has been done and filled for nearly 3 weeks. I was wondering if the trowel marks, uneven coloration will blend more with curing.

See points 4, 5 & 7. I think some combination of those sloppy practices cause your look. It could be better. But if you only have cosmetic problems be happy.

We have a Diamond Brite Pool with plaster about 2 1/2 weeks old and it looks the same as yours. I was hoping the dark/light patterns would go away. I like the color- Bahama Breeze. What color do you have?
It’s not a commercially available mix. The color is a blend that the pool builder put together. He calls it “medium grey”. Don’t know the recipe.
I wanted to do a custom mix from Diamond Brite and they told me if it wasn’t one of thier “recipe” mixes of thier regular colors. Warranty would come into play. As soon as they said that I said no way I was going there. 2 builders I talked with did thier own mixes to change color. That’s why I called Diamond Brite.
Is your pool builder Van Brills? Landi? We went with an aggregate finish specifically because my wife didn't want to see the uneven color. We used a product called Wet Edge, which is similar to Pebble Tech.
