Thank you for the clarification.SLAM is usually taking the fc to about 40% of the CYA (28 ppm).
My suggestion was to go to about 25% of the CYA. 25% of 70 is 17.5 and then do an OCLT to determine if a full SLAM is needed.
Or, try maintaining the fc at 15% of 70 (10.5) for a week and then back off the percent until the fc stays reliably at 7.5% of the CYA (5.5) continuously.
Could I bring FC to 17.5 this afternoon and do an OCLT tonight and if it drops more than 1ppm I need to full SLAM? Or should I bring to 17.5 tonight, maintain 17.5 for the day tomorrow and do the OCLT tomorrow night? I wasn't sure if that 25% should be held for a certain period of time before doing the OCLT.
I did not know where all the mentions in post #16 of FC 7 came from.
That was me thinking 25% of CYA meant 25% of the FC required to SLAM. So for CYA of 70 SLAM is 28FC and 25% of 28 is 7. I was definitely confused, sorry about that.
