Hello,
I’m new to the TFP process. Pool is about a year and half old. I was using chlorine tabs up til a few weeks ago. No real problems except an algae bloom last summer that I shocked and cleaned out of. No problems this summer. CYA got up to about 200 and I decided to move to TFP process. Drained and replaced water to get CYA down and all my numbers look good. I cleaned the filter cartridges today and noticed a deposit on each of the filters that I don’t recall seeing before. It‘s within a few inches of the bottom interior of each cartridge. It looks and feels like dried glue (kind of like Elmer’s wood glue). To be honest, I had not really checked those areas closely before, so they could have been there all along. Any ideas on what they might be? Appreciate any help.
