So pool is looking better, but I was just reading through SLAM process again and it says to buy enough liquid chlorine to double what it would take to SLAM from 0. I have surely passed this amount of chlorine used days ago. Is there something more insidious going on since I’m losing FC so quickly?

That is just an initial purchase. We are trying to get a few days supply available to get started. We can't make a recommendation on the total chlorine required, every slam is different.
